Kegs and Wisdom

What a week.  If they all were like this one I’d be a very lucky Bucky.  The amount of support for the situation in Phoenix is amazing and I want to thank everyone for every thing.  I’m not as angry as some of you might think about what happened, but more appalled that something so stupid can happen in 2012.  We all forget how quickly life can become absolutely unfair just because of one persons actions.  The manager had the “power” to have me thrown out for no reason and it was a feeling of helplessness no one enjoys experiencing.

We all end up dealing with a situation of helplessness in some way sooner or later though and when it happens we have to be careful how much revenge we seek.  I was just listening to the radio about police officers and video cameras.  Cops arresting law abiding citizens in America for videotaping them.  Happens more than you care to think about and when it does what can you do??   Taping police officers should be a good thing making sure everyone is accountable for their actions on both sides of the law.  Trust me I hate the police as much as the next criminal, as I type now the “man” is auctioning off a keg they stole from me 14 years ago.  No lie, down in Tama, Iowa a now empty keg is being sold with my name on it.  It wasn’t empty when they took it.  Bastards.

******UPDATE****  My dad just called to say he bought the keg and it is back with its loving family.

This feeling of power can make anyone think they are more important than they really are.  Police, managers, politicians, and anyone of authority has got to stay humble, but many rarely do.  This is why we should change them out often.  Still think career politicians are a good thing??   Why do police not like to be videotaped??  It is a question that should be asked over and over until they get used to the idea of us keeping the them in check.  Just because you have a badge doesn’t mean you are a good person.

I’m sure I will talk with the TK and find a solution to what they did.  It is unacceptable to allow it to go without some sort of an apology beyond a simple I’m sorry over the phone.  I was angry, hurt, and nobody likes feeling that way, but in the end forgiveness is most important. I’ve tried to live life with an anchor of anger tied around my ankle and it just doesn’t work.

We all have emotions and they are supposed to be played out.  Happy, Angry, Depressed, Sad, Excited and so on.  If we weren’t meant to experience these feelings and sometimes VERY STRONGLY they wouldn’t be there.  As a human being feelings are a part of life and you have to embrace these emotions when it is the right time to do so.  More importantly after you’ve felt that emotion you have to move on to the next so that you don’t dwell on it.  We are so worried about feeling sad or depressed that everyone wants to take drugs so they feel happy always.  This does NOT work for the record.

We are not meant to be happy always. Period.  Sometimes you go through some bad shit.  Having bad moments help let you know when you are having good moments.  It sucks at the time, but you learn more lessons from one hard time than you do from a thousand good times.  So remember to always look past the initial anger and see what good can come from every situation.  I don’t know what that answer is yet for this current drama, but I’ll be sure to keep my heart open to forgiveness, and look to see what wisdom I can learn.

Fknbucky

Don’t worry I’m just saying I’ll forgive them.  In reality I already slept with Toby’s sister, videotaped it, and mailed the tape to his parents.  Enjoy your Sunday!!!
