I wrote this months ago, but never posted it.
Due to spending the last week on EST I’m up early this Saturday morning. Something special about having a couple hours in the AM to reflect on where things are going and write out a very overdue blog. Of course I have the TV on because sitting in silence is weird to me. Nothing like perving out watching infomercials about some crap ass work out machine that I will never buy. Just kidding I haven’t done that since yesterday.
I like to laugh, tell jokes, and funny stories just because it makes life fun. Ever been around someone who complains all the time?? They suck. Ever been around someone that laughs and enjoys life?? It’s awesome. Seems like a no brainer to me. I’ve gotten wiser in my years and pay more attention to current events, but I still like to laugh.
The more of your rights, money, and time you give up, the less you are in control of your own destiny. Do these people really think they are doing something good for us?? Possibly, but the fact remains the more they try to fix it, the more they screw it up. In truth I’m watching the History channel and the story of Al Capone and the St. Valentine’s Day massacre. That’s right people have used guns for a really long time to kill other people that piss them off.
We do not have a gun problem in America. We do not have a violence problem in America. We don’t have video game and movie problem in America. What we do have is a moral decay of society problem in America. The more we deny that people are fucked up and have severe mental illnesses we will see disgusting acts like the one committed in Conneticutt.
Watching the history channel criminals back in the day had way better weapons than we do now, but EVEN they had a respect for innocence. They only killed cops, other gangsters, and dipshits that ran their mouth in the bar. I know killing cops and gangsters is wrong, but people that run their mouth deserve a smack down with Mr. Colt 45.
Passing laws that do absolutely nothing to curb violence will not solve our problems. We already outlawed the fully automatic Tommy Gun and did that stop bad things from happening. The battle between good and evil is as old as the earth itself. There has always been bad shit and NO MATTER what your saviors in Washington DC do there will continue to be bad things that happen. I’m sorry, but it is true.
What we can’t do is keep going down this insane path of giving up our freedoms for a fake feeling of safety. Have you fucking flown lately?? I get molested for 15 minutes EVERY time going through security by people that might have a high school diploma. It is never the same pat down and simply the biggest intrusion to personal space ever. They might as well put lipstick on me, jam a large stick in my ass, and call me wasted every Saturday night for a month. That’s right “It’s fucked up” is the point.
So all of you lobbying for more control remember what you asking for. Criminals don’t follow laws. You are simply asking for more control over yourself and that is a very dangerous thing. Remember it will do NOTHING to stop awful things from happening. I don’t know why bad things happen, but I am realistic enough to know they will happen again regardless of what you do.
I don’t have the answers. I just know what doesn’t work. The assault weapons ban that Clinton enacted during his presidency did absolutely NOTHING to stop violence. The extremely strict gun laws in Chicago do nothing to stop violence there. You want to stop violence?? Stop raising babies without fathers. Stop taking religion out of everyone’s life. Just because you don’t need Jesus to be a better person doesn’t mean everyone else doesn’t as well. You don’t think about them, because its all about YOU.
Stop blaming “things” for bad shit. It is a part of life just as breathing. Same as the good that comes from tragedy. Tragedy gives us the shining moments to overcome, reach out, get closer, and show the good in humanity. Dwell on that.
