never ending stay…

Well….. I extended my vacation by another day. Apparently they want you to crop dust the halls after stealing a kidney, but call it passing gas to sound professional until….. I said “farting” a bunch. The doctor finally loosened up her stature, but not my bowels. TMI… I know, but I promised honesty on this blog so suck it up buttercups. By the way speaking of honesty it turns out I’m not gay. That t-shirt is a liar. My friend Nuisance (see what I did there….) told me to be sweet to the nurses, but have you ever heard of a 24 hour restraining order??? Me either. Who knew asking her if she wanted to stick around and snort some of my meds with me was such a big deal…….. A couple lines of stool softener makes for one heck of a story later.

The TV is crap. The channels are 74-1, 74-2, 74-3, and on and on. I don’t know what that means. I have watched two westerns about a guy killing other guys over a woman. Both of them, but different guys dying from another guy killing them. I think the woman might be my stuck up crazy nurse. She would drive anyone to do some killing. She happens to be one that watched on as the others killed me on my last stay here. No joke there. She is sticking with the panic/anxiety story saying “Well you have anxiety when you’re dying.”

I can’t think of a truer statement. Just remember if you check out from not being able to breathe with 93% of your lung filled with fluid, it is the panic that did it. Can’t believe I was so stupid to think otherwise.

My kidney drain.

Might be yet another day. Got an issue with the kidney drain, and I’m not kidneying around.

Thank for all the prayers. Keep them coming and please share the blogs. Some of your friends might not be on my friends list and should hear my life lessons in the blogs. Be kind to others, stop holding petty grudges, and if someone makes you mad – hit them in the face.

Respect One Another is the only way.

I have so much going on that I am having trouble finding time to write. I either try to slam something together or just don’t have the motivation. Maybe motivation isn’t the right word. I let my fingers type out the thoughts that are going thru my mind allowing me to vent certain things out or relay a message that I happen to be thinking about at the time I start to write. I have a lot of trouble commenting on the George Floyd matter because it is completely one sided. Either you agree 100% or you’re a racist bigot that should be killed. I’m not sure why there was a trial at all. They should have just dragged him out into the street and executed him in public. There was zero chance that verdict would come back any other way. Those jurors were scared for their lives and the lives of their families. I don’t blame them.

The mob got what the mob wanted. Now on to the next one. The thing about mobs is once they start getting their way they don’t stop. They get bigger, bolder, and sooner or later everyone realizes it is a problem. Well not really I mean history has taught us, the angry mobs never make poor decisions. Do not twist my words as I don’t give a shit about the cop who had his knee on Georges neck. I can’t for the life of me figure out what he was thinking or why he did that. I also don’t understand why George Floyd escalated that situation for 20 minutes and didn’t just sit down in the back of the cop car either. So many crap decisions were made that day and truthfully I wasn’t on the jury so I don’t have all the facts. I do know that a sitting Congresswoman made comments about being more confrontational if the verdict wasn’t guilty. Yeah I know. If you’re a Dem it is no big deal and if you’re a Repub then she should be censored. The President said it had to come back as guilty. I didn’t realize you and him were in court everyday.

It is a slippery slope. People of color have not always had any kind of “fairness” in the justice system, but every year we get better. If you don’t believe that then you’ve lost hope and we must blow the whole thing up. I see the world thru the eyes of optimism. It is sad to me to see so many pissed off people that think everything is against them for one reason or another. For any one of you I will trade this wheelchair for black or brown skin in a heartbeat. I have my own history and learning curve when it comes to race. I’ve always thought I was a pretty good person, but I had no clue about black struggles. I had my own struggles. White I got, privilege skipped me. I dare anyone tell me how “easy” of a road I’ve had.

You can’t DEMAND respect from the world. It simply doesn’t work that way. You can’t angry mob respect from the people you claim to want it from. Respect is given when it is received. Watching 22 year old white chicks screaming in the face of a black police officer calling him a “racist pig” is not going to make the world better. Maybe instead of running her big fat mouth she should sign up to become a police officer. Why don’t all of these protestors sign up and show the rest of us how easy it is??? The way that police are demonized in this current environment there will be a lot of openings. You couldn’t pay me enough to do that job. It is really easy to judge from the sidelines never putting your own ass on the line.

I told my brother I didn’t want to write about this because it is too emotional. After thinking about it I realized that is why I should write about it. There has to be a lot of changes made in this world before this problem will ever go away. There are two sides. Why on Earth would people who believe every cop in America is out to kill black people everyday, give them an opportunity to do just that by resisting arrest or not complying with an officers commands. As a parent why would you not tell your child to simply do as the police ask and then fight whatever it is in court. Becoming a martyr doesn’t help. You are dead. No coming back.

There are a lot of things we can do better in this country. There are also a lot of things we have gotten right overcoming the “old ways” of doing things. We will do better on this policing issues, but it has to come from both sides. Simply screaming at one side demanding they change will never get it done. The attacks on police and constant disrespect that is ignored by the media and politicians does nothing to help solve the problem. ***A moment of truth here.*** Pay attention to the next sentence. These people that benefit off of racial tension DON’T WANT to solve anything. They are only relevant if there is a problem. Problem goes away so does the fundraising, the angry mob willing to do your bidding, and the power they acquire while the world burns. There is no way they will willingly allow the flames to be put out. Regular people like you and me have to calm down, take emotion out of our thinking, and realize that we are all the same. Give respect and respect will be given.

I understand the hot button this issue is. No real change comes from allowing these assholes that benefit off of the chaos to manipulate us into hating each other. I say it all the time because it is true. Angry people are easier to control. Educated, calm, and people that think for themselves don’t fall for the fake outrage every three days.

Learn to Respect each other and that is when you see real change.

FknBucky

P.S. I don’t know what the solution is, but I do know hating each other is never going to give us one or even the opportunity for one. Everything is based on respect. If you give none you will get none. That is just the way it is.

You Hungry??

I just got an order of groceries dropped off at my door. Pretty amazing. I go onto the website pick the items I want and two hours later there is a knock at the door. When I open the door there is no person just bags of food. I actually don’t mind going to the grocery store, but it is much more convenient to have someone else do it and drop it off. I have been blessed in my life to be able to afford food. Not a day or meal goes by that I don’t say a small message of thank you. It wasn’t always that way I’ve been hungry before with no options to fix it. It is a brutal thing being hungry. I’m not talking about the funny kind you have cause no women are home to make you a sandwich, but the real kind when your insides feel like they are starting to eat each other. The physical torment is bad enough, but the mental aspect of feeling less than, feeling neglected by a world, and simply wondering if it will ever change is unbearable. If I had one wish it would be that no one ever feels that way again.

I have heard many people express feelings about God and say how could a God let so many go hungry?? I have often wondered such a thing, but I heard a preacher say one time. Why are people hungry?? Is there not enough food on the planet to feed them all?? That statement resonated with me. There is more than enough food produced in the world to feed everyone, but yet many go without. Why is that??? How is it so hard for neighbors to get along that one of them might actually go hungry while the other finds new ways to waste the extra they have??? I don’t lay blame on any one person or thing when it comes to this. My opinion is simply there hasn’t been enough people asking the question “Why are there still hungry people??” Some of these people make life choices that put them in the hungry category. Choices have consequences so make good ones.

I will make this promise though. If anyone asked me to buy them groceries I would stop whatever I am doing and go buy them food immediately. No questions asked and no need to thank me or promise to repay. I will not give you cash. If my money is going to be spent on booze and drugs I’m going to do them. Alright back on topic. Going to sleep every night with food in my belly is my reward and every person should know that feeling daily. Kids should never go hungry. There were times in my childhood that I just didn’t know when I was going to eat again. I was never in real danger of dying of hunger, but even going a couple days without food sucks. I could have asked for food, but I was way to proud. Pride is a very tall wall to get over sometimes. No kid should be hungry, but I tell you what the kids that know this feeling grow up grateful. If you have never been real hungry in your life I don’t know how you can understand gratitude.

A friend of mine back in my snowboarding days would talk of his Uncle. At least I think it was his Uncle. We smoked a lot of pot back then and it might have been his neighbors cat he was always bitching about, but whatever we talking about hunger today. His Uncle would welcome people in and always ask them if they are hungry?? If they are warm??? Are they good??? If the answers to these questions were yes he would say “Good you have all you need in life.” I love it. That freaking cat was smart. When is the last time you checked if someone had enough food in their stomach?? If they were warm and safe?? Probably never. Still think it is God’s fault people are hungry??

We do a lot as a country. We have literally millions of tons of food donated every year by Americans to help stop the hunger world wide. If you aren’t proud of that, next time take three extra minutes to buy a couple extra progreso soups to put in the donation box so you can feel good about yourself. It is a start and that is all we can ask for. Imagine if every man and woman in America donated two cans of soup. Hungry people everywhere would learn to hate progreso soup so maybe throw some Mac and cheese in the box once in a while. Yes it has to be Kraft. The other kinds suck. What kind of monster donates store brand Mac and cheese??

I finally was able to go a couple days keeping my fat ass planted in my chair so I can talk about something other than flopping around on the floor for an hour. I still think that was a message I was supposed to address and honestly I did learn or remind myself that hardships in life can come two days in a row. There is no time frame for crap to come. Can you imagine half way over the “not fair Gods” intervene and stop me from falling backwards while yelling “We got him yesterday!! He isn’t due for another 48 hours!”. Hahaha. Followed by “Hey one of you ladies make him a sandwich. He looks hungry!” I literally laughed out loud at my own joke there. Relax everyone this blog is an ”offended free zone“ which means crack a smile, appreciate what you have daily, and learn to come up with witty comebacks. It is more fun than being pissed off all the time. Oh and put some mayo on my sandwich.

This subject has been on my mind for a couple of days. I heard the God thing about allowing people to be hungry. I don’t know how you feel about God as in “Is there one??”, but I do know there is always two sides to any situation. Yes we as Americans have way more than many many people around the globe. I don’t feel even a little bit guilty about it. It is pretty simple that because we have SO MUCH we are able to do what no other country can. Give. A LOT. Americans are very very generous and without us having so much imagine what the world would look like. If America and Americans had less that doesn’t automatically mean the places that need it would have more. That is not how it works. So be thankful for what you have, more thankful you have enough to share, and pray to Big Bang Theory that never changes.

Be kind to others every single day. Find ways to make the world better. Remember it all starts with you. You alone can’t stop global hunger, but you can make sure the family down the block has food in their fridge.

I appreciate you all,

CRIKEY

Funny where I find inspiration. I just saw a commercial about the Australia Zoo getting to open finally making the Irwin family super happy. The world became a little less fun the day Steve died. I personally go out of my way to murder sting rays now to avenge him. It is never enough. I vowed a lifetime of service to make sure the Earth is rid of these murderous bastards. Yeah none of that is true. I do miss that guy though. I don’t remember if I was still smoking pot the first time I saw him on TV, but I do remember the exact time I was channel surfing and stopped on this guy.

He was in this tiny boat cruising around crocodile infested waters. I was into it right away like what is this crazy SOB about to do. He comes upon this crocodile that has to be 5-6’ long when he says it is “perfect” to which I thought perfect to kill. My kind of show lets kill something!! Just kidding PETA, I only murder cute animals. This guy looks at the camera and says this is the part where he jumps in the water to catch the crocodile. I didn’t even have time to process the statement he just made when he legit jumped into the water and started to wrestle this prehistoric beast. Obviously I’m like WTF is going on here?? I’m glued to the TV at this point.

I kept thinking this can’t be real. Who the hell is this crazy SOB??? He starts yelling “it is bigger than I thought” and screams for his WIFE to jump in the water with him to help wrestle this man killer. No freaking way I thought. Wrong again. She stands up like Rick Flair, flexes like she on the top rope, and drops an elbow on the crocodile trying to eat her husband. This is absolute carnage. I assumed it had to be the drugs and made a mental note to call the weed man and get some more of this stuff. Now that I’m telling the story I have no idea how it all ended. I think I was in such a “what just happened” phase that I couldn’t possibly register more at the moment.

That is how I learned who Steve Irwin was who we all know as the crocodile hunter. This guy was crazy. He was entertaining. We all watched him at some point. The guy would be semi sexually aroused by a 2 lb spider that can kill a human just by looking at them. You or I would be running away, but not Steve, he would chase the thing down, grab it, and proceed to tell the camera how flipping cute it was. I don’t know about you, but that is a guy I want to have some beers with. Can you imagine the stories he could tell?? I was genuinely sad when the news broke that he had been killed by a sting ray. The world lost something special that day.

This was a guy that had a passion for creepy crawly things and just went with it. He deserved all the success he got in my opinion, but somehow I know he would have been just as happy in life living in a rented double wide trailer somewhere in Oklahoma. To me this guy got life. He didn’t conform to anything. He went and found a wife that loved these disgusting animals as much as he did. AND!! She jumped into the water out of a very safe boat to help him wrestle a crocodile. Ladies take note…. That is how you get a man to propose. You want a ring?? Jump out the damn boat and help your man wrestle a 400 lb crocodile. Haha. I know a couple girls that would do it if it meant getting a man!

I hope everyone learns to love life as much a Steve Irwin did. I’m glad to see his widow, daughter, and son are keeping his legacy alive and hope to someday go to their zoo and support what they do.

So don’t be afraid to yell “CRIKEY” every once in a while and get excited about something most others don’t care about. Show some passion about things you love and who cares what others think. I am passionate about writing and still have nervousness about will people like my writing, topics, or any of the other stuff that goes along. I tune that out though and do me. Every day I write something I feel better and have no plan to stop anytime. This blog is my crocodile and I hope if you enjoy it, you’ll share it and tell others about it.

I appreciate you all. Do some random kindness because it is the right thing to do. Buy the maintenance crew pizza, send a funny card to someone you haven’t talk to in a while, or tell a stranger a compliment because it is true. Don’t tell someone wearing sunglasses they have pretty eyes. Yeah unfortunately some of you (people in the world) are that dumb.
