Americans

Most of us that read this blog are Americans. I have readers all over the world actually and I love everyone of you. I listened to someone talking about everyone coming together after the failed Trump assassination who repeatedly said that America is the greatest country in the world. It made me wonder if people in Moldova are like “We are the 47th greatest country in the world!!” Some guy in Uzbekistan screaming to a crowd “When I was elected we were the 107th greatest country in the world and now we are 102!!! Suck it TrapZisteianistan!!!” I would literally fly there and pay to watch that.

Jokes aside. I have friends of all flavors. We argue at times. We disagree about some things. Not my fault though. Some of them still think women should vote. I know right. What can you do. We can laugh in America. We have the freedom to do so because brave, VERY BRAVE men and women died so that we could have that luxury. I for one will never forget or take my freedoms for granted. What happened on Saturday can not happen here. We are looked upon by others in the world as something to strive to, a place people want to try to be like, and for many out there simply knowing it exists makes the planet a better place. If America fails the world fails.

R or D. They mean nothing. There are 24 other letters. We need them all to spell TrapZisteianistan. Haha. Thought I forgot about them. Seriously though it takes everyone to make us the greatest country in the world. All colors, all sexes, all sexuality, all strengths, all personalities, born here, immigrated here, all incomes, and most importantly all abilities. We all play a role. That role can only be played with love. Hate and anger have no place. The moment anyone compares anyone to Hitler walk away. That conversation is over. There was only one Hitler and he was truly evil. Never fall for stupid arguments and don’t waste the energy. You are loved and welcome to vote however you want in America.

I’ve said this before “you can’t out hate someone.” You can only overcome hate with love and kindness. If someone hates you simply because of skin color, sexual preference, gender, or ______________ the best way to change that is to become the greatest person you can, one of character, substance, and love so they MUST respect you. That is how you change the world. I promise you don’t change anyone by an act of violence. Unless they earn a punch in the face for talking BS. I’m still okay with that.

Love yourself and each other.

A Kick in the Ass

Saturday night. I have playoff football playing in the background. I have another wheelchair I need to put together, but keep avoiding it because it is going to be a pain in the butt. I know better than to put things off that need to be done, but it is supposed to snow tomorrow here in Charlotte which means the city will be closed down for a few days. I believe it is going to be a lot of ice so I have no reason to drive around in that crap. I trust myself but I have zero confidence in the other drivers here in the South.

Sad to see Bob Saget pass away. We all grew up watching full house. I still remember seeing Bob do stand up comedy on HBO for the first time. I was blown away at how dirty he was. He was way beyond controversial. A few times I was even thinking ”Damn you can’t say that”, but he did say it and I loved him for it. I love people that say whatever they want. The ones that are always offended can piss off. You’re boring. Nobody wants to walk on your eggshells.

Bob had a chance to make a lot of money being a TV Dad and he took it. Can’t fault him for that although some do. It is different times now though with Instagram, Tik Toc, twitter, and all the other ways dumb drunk kids tell on themselves. Thank God there were no video cameras around when I was young although I was able to make myself memorable most times without pics or video. Only 1 FknBucky on the planet and you knew when you met him. My goal is to continue writing this year and find ways to get my blog out to the masses. It starts with writing more. I get ideas for blogs, but have been lacking in the follow thru department. You can’t chase dreams sitting still.

Whatever it is you want, you have to go get it. Everything is achievable if you are willing to put in the work. You don’t get to live your dream if you crush 12 beers every night. Well unless your dream is to crush 12 busch lights every night. Then you’ve made it friend. I hope your dreams are a bit bigger than this. I mean if you want to dream go for it all!!! 18 Busch Lights a night!! I believe in you. The truth is you have to be working when others aren’t. No matter what it is you desire, I guarantee you there are 100 other humans on Earth chasing the same thing. When you quit at 5 pm everyday, there is someone else pushing till 6 pm, 7 pm, all night.

My dream is to travel and write. I am going to make it. I see myself doing it already. If you can’t see me reaching all of my goals you don’t know me very well. I get down on myself, have hard times, doubt myself, and say F it I’m done. I don’t though. I don’t quit, I have my pity moment and then I get back to the grind. I’m thinking I wrote this blog for myself. I needed a kick in the ass. We all need an extra push from time to time. That is why great friends are important to have or a wonderful wife that is willing to physically harming you to make sure you get out of bed and chase that dream…..

RIP Bob — I’m willing to bet wherever Bob Saget is, he is hitting on Betty White right now. Play on Playa!!

Going to make a Phone Call

Justice for Ryan Cooper. I think about it every single day. I don’t understand with all the tools law enforcement has why don’t we have someone in custody for this horrible crime. You are missed and loved Ryan. Busch Light Brotherhood (includes the ladies) will never forget you and never stop looking for who is responsible.

It is Veterans Day. What does that mean to you?? Do you think about it?? I’m willing a bunch of people don’t give it a thought. Not those that read my blog because you are patriots and I appreciate every one of you. Keep reading, keep helping others EVERY DAY, and most of all keep making yourself better. Listen to Jim Rohn. I’ve sent his seminar to over 20 people to help them thru hard times.

We are free in this country. I do believe that is an enormous responsibility to not piss it away. In name of ”good” there are individuals willing to trade a little freedom for the easy road. Not me. I will overcome any obstacle and have proven that to myself more times than I can count. You can walk up to a military person and say ”Thank you for your service” and feel good about yourself the rest of the day. Words are crap. Lots of people say lots of things. You want to honor the men and women of the military?? Use your freedom for more than standing on a street corner holding a sign that says ”Poor Me, Life is hard”.

I believe the book ”Lone Survivor” should be mandatory reading for all high school kids. It is the only book I had to put down because I was crying to hard to read. I still remember the moment. I was living at La Jolla Palms in San Diego area, I bawled like hungry baby as I read those words, and relived the battle with author Marcus Luttrell. The bravery and sacrifice these warriors make without question is impossible to repay. Want to thank a Veteran?? Pick up a book. Read about the things these men and women go thru on the battlefield. Work at becoming a better human every single day of your life. You are free to educate yourself in this awesome country.

The four frogmen that went out to find a really bad guy, but 3 goat herders came up on top of them blowing their cover. They were faced with an impossible situation. Kill the herders so they would not be able to alert the massive amount of Taliban fighters very close by. They knew if they killed these unarmed goat herders they would most likely face a court martial. Simply tying them up could cause them to die and then a herd of goats would just be wandering around. The last choice of let them go and get ready for a very bad fight. This is what they did and the bravery is off the charts.

The Taliban fighters came at them fast and relentlessly. A chance to kill some elite American Seals would be very useful in the propaganda machine they used to control the mountain people. I believe the average education there is about 3rd grade level. Intelligent people are harder to control and manipulate. Hmmm if only someone had said the best way to honor the sacrifice made by military people is to educate yourself…. For the record reading the shampoo bottle while you poop does not count. It did not take long for the Seals to get pinned down by the Taliban and stuck without an exit plan. They were in trouble, but had no phone signal from their positions. Insert Lieutenant Michael Murphy.

Mike Murphy is a legend and always will be. He was incredibly respected by his Seal peers and by everyone that knew him. As the ”leader” of the four seals it was on him to get help on the way. He looked at his friends and said I’m going to make a phone call. He left the safety of their cover to get a phone signal. I’ve done this a hundred times, but never with a few hundred enemy fighters surrounding me and constantly shooting AK-47’s at me. He knew what was going to happen and did it anyway. Out in the open he called back to base and told them they were in big trouble and going to die without help. Mike Murphy died making that phone call. On a mountain in Afghanistan fighting for who knows what with rules and regulations that cost lives of wonderful people.

War is horrible. The reality is freaking horrible. Bad things happen. That is why it is called war and not fun. There is a lot more to this story, but I’m going to stop here. If you haven’t read the book make time to do that. It is an important story to know and we as a country owe it to those young men to actually remember. Never forget is a crap meme people put on their Facebook page on Sept 10-12. Don’t be one of those people. Read, educate yourself, and make a positive difference in your community. Pick up trash, play checkers with old people, make sandwiches for homeless people, or anything you think of that will simply make your environment a little better.

We get so caught up in this holiday and that holiday. They are just days like the other 364. Take time every day to make a positive difference. I truly believe the greatest way to honor our Veterans is to have pride in our communities, to educate ourselves and our children about why freedom is so precious, and simply be proud to say ”Fuck yeah! I’m American!!”

The Families

Army SPC Jeremiah Collins, says goodbye to his wife Angela (R) and daughters Skkye Collins (L) and Shyla Collins (2-R)

Yesterday I talked about respecting those that gave up everything for the idea of freedom. You can disagree with anything you want in America because you are free to do so. You don’t have to blindly agree with everything our government does, has done, or will do in the future. In fact it is your job as a citizen to question them, all of them, Donald Trump and Joe Biden, just because your “guy” or “gal” is in charge doesn’t mean they get a free pass to do whatever they want. I read a lot. I’ve read so many stories about incredibly brave men and women from all kinds of backgrounds that I know strength has nothing to do with race, gender, age, sexuality, or physical ability. I can’t do a push up, but I’m the strongest person you might ever meet. Or not.

To call me strong is easy. You see a wheelchair, think about how much it must suck, how sad or depressed you would be if it happened to you, and then label me as strong because I have a smile on my face. That isn’t strength, it is survival. I only have so many days left on Earth. It could be 1 more day or 10,000 more days, but I’m not going to waste them feeling sorry for myself about things I can’t change. Want to know real strength?? Go talk with the mother of 3 young children who’s husband is in harms way serving our country 6,494 miles from home. Yes I googled the distance from Charlotte, NC to Fallujah, Iraq. Keeping it real on FknBucky.

The families of our heroes need to be remembered on this Memorial Day as well. A friend of mine growing up lost her brother who was serving the USA when he was killed in a helicopter accident. I don’t know if she reads this blog or not, but I dedicate today’s blog to her brother and their family. His name is John Kaye and he was a hero. I bring it up to let her know a lot of people acknowledge the huge sacrifice he made to make sure the rest of us are safe and free. I didn’t know him well on a personal level, but I vow to never forget his name or sacrifice.

It is easy to forget the real reason for Memorial Day, but the families left behind to try and make sense of it all don’t have the luxury to forget. Commenting on a Meme in between beers 2 and 3 is not honoring those that gave their life in defense of our country. You don’t have to agree with the war, the military, or any of it, but you must understand these individuals believed in America enough to die for it. The sadness and the loss never really go away. It is impossible to understand the pain associated with loss like that unless you’ve been through it. We all hope you don’t experience that kind of grief.

Memorial Day is more than brats on a grill. More than having your first beer at 9 AM. It is important to take a few minutes, look around your life, and appreciate all that you have. Regardless of the hardships you have going on in your life, you are still here with the opportunity to change your life. The opportunity to read a book, start a business, have a family, or anything else you would like to do. Those that gave up their lives so we could be free don’t have the opportunity to do any of those things. Show your respect by living a full life. Chase your dreams. Hold those you love and tell them you love them often.

I’m very sorry that John Kaye lost his life serving our country. He was way too young and I know how much his sister and family loved him. He is missed by many and never forgotten. So remember him today, remember all of our fallen heroes, and don’t forget to honor the families that have lost their brother, son, Uncle, sister, daughter, or Aunt. Those labels came long before we called men like John a soldier, a Marine, a sailor, or any of the other terms used to describe service members.

I try to write about things that are meaningful and tell some jokes along the way. With a country so divided I hope that regardless of where you fall left or right you can take a moment to remember a hero that didn’t give his life to democrats or republicans. He gave his life for Americans. The least you can do is spend the day being just that. An American. An American that can see all the good we do together as a country. You have 364 other days to hate and trash the USA. Just for today drink your beers, eat the brats, and embrace the idea of freedom so many brave men and women died for.

FREE ANDREW TAMOORESSI — YOU CAN & NEED TO HELP RIGHT NOW!!!

BRING HIM HOME!!

BRING HIM HOME!!

Crazy week. Lots of emotions and just plain crazy. I’ve been watching a story here in San Diego that is just wrong. I’ve written about it a couple times, but never published the blogs. Today is the day that I take it to you, and hope you run with it. Being silent is adding to the problem and if I’m known for anything I can’t imagine it is being silent.

This is the story of a wrong turn that went very badly. Can you imagine if you took a left instead of a right and that decision ended you up in jail?? In a foreign country?? I certainly know about bad decisions and ending up in jail, but I think I’ll save that for another blog day. Being in jail is the worst but when you add in some threats of murder, rape, beatings, and other not fun stuff you have a situation that needs attention right now. Unfreaking believable. My Mom told me I had to stop swearing in my blog so I thought I would give it a shot. This inactive reservist Marine is getting screwed by Mexico and it is time to start fighting back. Tell you what Mexico, you give us our guy and we’ll send back every Mexican dirt bag we have in our prison system. Seems like a fair trade to me!!

Want to know the back story?? Good because I’m going to tell you. He was lost, driving around San Diego and ended up at a Mexican border station. I didn’t even know they had those. I mean what do they do?? Give out water to the illegals as they pass by. Pat them on the back and say good luck in Americana?? I used to buy crack down there and let me tell you the roads are really confusing, dark, and not easy to navigate while hitting the glass pipe. These border agents are crooked, messed up, and it really is a crock of crap. Oh I miss my four letter adjectives so much!! ha ha. I have a string of them I’d like to let loose on the Mexican officials causing this.

Andrew Tahmooressi is 25 years old and did two tours in Afghanistan serving this country, serving this commander in chief, and from everything I’ve read did what was asked of him. This man received a battlefield promotion because he showed good judgement and bravery. That’s right he is a true American hero who happens to be sitting in a Mexican jail because our leadership is too busy giving the rest of our veterans crappy healthcare. Oh yeah that’s another blog day, but nice job government. Actually I should say “nice NOT doing your job government”.

So once Sgt. Andrew Tamooressi hit up the Mexican border station he explained that he made a wrong turn and simply wanted to go back to America. He also told them that he had 3 American registered (this means legal) guns in his car. Not unusual as he was in the process of moving and had all his belongings in his motor vehicle. Instead of letting him turn around and go home, calling the American embassy, or doing anything that would actually make sense they took this man to jail. A very bad jail. The notorious La Mesa state prison which is by all accounts is a very bad place to be. His arms and legs were shackled down for 35 straight days onto a bed. I bet they didn’t even wash the sheets first. Disgusting. How can we let them treat this Marine like this??? Why isn’t someone in our government freaking out???

How may Mexicans come across our border illegally daily?? I bet a few of them even bring weapons. What do we do?? Sign them up for welfare, hand them food stamps, and make sure they know how to get free healthcare. Oh and make sure you slap on an anchor baby so we won’t deport them. Is that all true?? Yep sure is. Grow up hippie, this blog needed some racist statements so I can make a point in the next paragraph. Plus my mom won’t let me swear anymore which causes me to lash out. They give our Marine back and I’ll start playing nice. Wink wink.

Why is this guy facing 21 years in a Mexican prison??? It is absurd and somebody in our government needs to grow a pair. NOW. The fact that they are silent about this means they are little punks. I really miss swearing Mom. Okay speaking of racism, you thought I forgot huh, well maybe if we make it about race our COMMANDER IN CHIEF will do his job and take care of our Marine. I mean if this was about a black Harvard professor or say an owner of a basketball team our boy Obama would trample some school kids to get to a microphone. Little ones that are carrying balloons. Seriously what kind of monster tramples little kids carrying balloons???

Random problem: I have a booger on my hand that won’t come off. Don’t you hate that?? Guess its snack time. Problem solved. Moving on.

Lock up one of our Marines and crickets. All I hear is crickets. That is what one of my ex-girlfriends told me once after a very bad performance at a comedy show. She is gone now. She turned lesbian, had a sex change, and now lives in Mexico performing live shows with a donkey three times a day. Ha ha. Maybe she can go visit our Marine?? So Andrew’s Mom (Jill Tahmooressi) has been leading the charge demanding that someone in our government stick up for her son. I have to say it really has nothing to do with party affiliation. We owe this man and it makes me sick that I’m even writing a blog about it. I’ve held back because I’ve assumed it would be handled quickly, but it hasn’t been. He really has been forgotten, pushed aside, and because helping him won’t turn into “votes” these so called leaders ignore it. Its disgusting.

So for us to get the White House/administration to comment on this situation we need 100,000 signatures (currently there is just under 29,000 so we have some work to do) on whitehouse.gov before the end of May. Take 3 minutes and sign this petition. Send it to your email contacts. Post it on your facebook page. If I get 1,000 views on this blog, I’ll stop swearing for year. No Mom you can’t click on the page 1,000 times. I’ve done all the work for you. The link is below, click it, create an account (literally takes 30 seconds), and then help us get our Marine back.

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/demand-release-usmc-sgt-tahmooressi-suffering-ptsd-mexico-imprisonment/qslJk2Xd

If you enjoyed your freedom today it is because of brave men and women like Andrew who served this country. It is time for you to do your part and help Andrew Tahmooressi regain his freedom. I’ll be disappointed if my friends don’t help with this situation. Post, share, talk about this at work, at church, in the grocery store line. We can help and the time is right now to do it.
