Must WIN

It bothers me that I haven’t been writing. I’m not even sure why, but I think it is partly because of all the working out. I’m tired. A lot. Turns out being in my 40’s and paralyzed isn’t the easiest time to become a workout fanatic. Should have started sooner, but that whole dying thing last year really set me back. Heck of a story if you ever want to hear about it let me know.

I see that LSU fired their coach. They only have to buy him out of a 54 million dollar contract. Is this what all those college loans that no one can afford go to?? A football coach?? These are the people teaching the next generation about how to be adults?? Blowing 54 million because a game didn’t go your way for a couple of weeks?? I have a very serious point to make here so read slowly…. The other team’s coach gets paid to win also.

Holy moly. Yeah sometimes you lose in life even when you do everything right. Maybe that is a lesson we can teach these whiny little brats that love to wave their 4 year degree in our faces. Life is hard sometimes. You can train hard, work hard, play hard, and still end up with an L. Wipe the dirt off, do it again, and for all your troubles you get another L. It happens. There are a ton of people out there working just as hard as you for the same damn prize.

Penn State did the same thing. They fired one of the most successful coaches in college football. Apparently he didn’t like showering with the team so they had to let him go. What?? To soon?? You can’t talk about that Bucky?? Shut up. You can’t rape children in the locker room moron. How about saying that. Off topic, but point made I hope. I’m just a bit baffled at the overreaction to a couple of games. Things happen. Maybe the coach made a wrong choice somewhere, but these aren’t guys that were coaching JV high school games last year and you decided to give a “shot” to.

How about this?? Keep your coach and take that 50 million you are about to piss into the wind, and pay off student loans for a bunch of kids that chose your school from all the other ones. Who cares if you lose a couple foosball games in the big scheme of things??

Maybe LSU will pay that guy from Penn State and Penn State can pay the guy from LSU. Now that would be awesome.

Character and Leadership

The big game. Watching it now and just saw the interception by Hurts as a matter of fact. I was impressed by Barkley in the first quarter and wanted to write about it briefly. Maybe you will decide to read a bit for halftime….. Wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world. I believe Saquon has about 7 yards so far which totally screws my bets up, but what are you going to do.

It was right after a questionable offensive pass interference call that went against the Eagles, stopped an awesome drive, and ruined a fourth down conversion. The fans booed, the coaches screamed, Tom Brady said “ I don’t agree with that”, and 50 million non Chiefs fans threw their hands up in the air screaming “SEE THE REFS ARE IN ON IT!!” Not Saquon though.

No he didn’t do that. I’ve been impressed with him all season by not playing late in games to pad stats, but would ride the pine to let the “young guys eat” as he calls it. Coming out of the game early to let some of the other players have a chance to enjoy the game they all love and have played their entire lives. That is character and no amount of money can buy it. You either have it or you suck at life.

I watched Barkley tell his teammates to “chill” and padded his arms at them to say relax it is one call in the game and there is A LOT of game left obviously. That is true leadership and it is awesome to see. That is what little kids should look up to. Not how many chains he has around his neck, how big his crib is, or how many flashy cars he has in the driveway. Those are all nice things to have, but don’t mean crap in the big scheme of things. When you are being lowered into the ground nobody is going to say “Good thing he/she had a bunch of cool cars.”

They are going to speak of your character, reliving stories of the random acts of kindness you committed, the next generation will talk about how you mentored them, shared wisdom with them, and took the time to make them better just because it is the right thing to do.

Be like Saquon.

Have some Class

Good Morning. I’m short on time, but not short on message. I watched the Packers lose last night for the 7th time this year and like everyone I was disappointed. Very very disappointed. Not with the team, but the fans that were in attendance for the game. When I heard the “boos” draining down on the home team because a play didn’t go your way>> What a bunch of whiny little pricks. Oh no, we have a losing season for the first time in what 15 years?? The players get paid millions Bucky so I can treat them like crap.

No they don’t and a person with character would never boo the home team over something so petty. The big names make millions, but a large number of players still make a few hundred grand a year. Yes that is a lot to many of us, but they earn it putting on a show for us every Sunday or in this case Thursday. Yes this team needs to work out the mistakes and timing, but to rain down the boos on National TV was a disgrace.

Rodgers was off and missed some throws. It happens. For the last 25 years the Packers have had a wonderful run with the Brett Farve era and then moving right into the Aaron Rodgers time. I mean look at Detroit. That is a team and fan base that has learned to lose every year over and over and over and over and over….. You could just go west and become a purple loving %#&*%^&#%*$*(#(#*&#^&&@#^!!!!! If you do this stay there. Stupid Vi-Queens..

I don’t have a ton of time today so this one is short. It is okay the message is clear. Have some class in life. Stand up tall and take the L like a ma…. I’m not going to be sexist today. Take the L like a stand up citizen. These players were out in 25 degrees and played their heart out. Here is a little thought for you. The other team gets paid to win too.

Have fun in life. Go to the game and appreciate it for what it is. An experience to come together as a community to support the home team. The outcome of the game is what it is. The players and coaches are the only ones with any control on that. You screaming “RUN THE BALL” from seat L420E doesn’t matter and will make zero difference.

Next time you buy tickets leave the “boos” at home, but bring the booze for the tailgate party. Please like and share, give 5 stars, or make a comment. 2023 will be a big year for the blog with your help. I can’t do it alone.

Go Pack Go!!
