In Memory of……..

No picture for this blog.  Today is a sad day.  3 weeks ago we had a sad day as well.  Couple of months ago it was a joyous day, but at the same time an extremely sad one as well.  Unfortunately it isn’t even surprising to see evil in the rawest form, in fact we hide from it, thinking that ignoring it will make it go away.    We have thousands of these sad days in our past as a society and yet for some reason the majority of us refuse to speak up and say enough.  In fact most of you sip your morning coffee, maybe shed a tear, and then move on because that stuff is too hard to think about.

Have any idea what I’m talking about?  Why in the year 2010 with the information that we have available do we still have sex offenders going to prison for a couple of years and then set free to live among our children?  An innocent young lady was just raped and murdered a few miles from my house this week.  It is awful, I can’t imagine the pain her family must be going through.  To have this monster take something so precious and irreplaceable from them in a moment because he can’t control his urges is completely unacceptable.  As the human race we failed this gorgeous young lady, her family, and the worst part is in a couple of weeks it will happen again.

“I don’t want to think about this Bucky.  It depresses me.”

No kidding, you think I’m stoked writing this.  You think the King family is having a good day?  What about Jessica Lunsford’s dad in FL?  What about the families in Cleveland that had a monster killing their loved ones for years?  What about the young girl in Northern CA that was held captive for 18 yrs as a sex slave?  Or Elizabeth Smart?  How many times does this have to happen?  My vote is never again, but it won’t happen that way.

Some progressive lawyer somewhere is talking about the rights of offenders and that we are obligated to rehabilitate these fuckers.  That word is too nice for them.  I believe that if you hurt a child, certainly in this way, you give up all your rights for LIFE.  My vote would be to kill them.  Let the father of the victim carve their heart out while the next asshole watches on so he sees what is in store for him.  Not mean enough I know, but give me time and I’ll try harder.

All of the above cases the person responsible had a record.  He did it before.  The system let them out and they simply learned to kill the victim so that they wouldn’t talk next time.  Oh I’m sure the law makers will stump around and we’ll make a new law named after the latest victim saying that we have to keep track of these guys and they have to register somewhere, but that shit isn’t working.  The only thing that seems to help is when they do kill or strike again, we know what area to start looking for them.  Well that isn’t good enough.  Just isn’t good enough.

These monsters should never be allowed back into society.  I know that there are more of us than there are progressive assholes that say it is inhumane to treat them badly.  WHAT ABOUT THE VICTIMS??  These people should be locked up for life.  You do one crime against a child and you are finished forever.  Done.  Simple.  Will it stop everything? Of course not, but it will make sure that the people that already proved that they are capable of doing these things won’t be free to do it again.

I’m sick to my stomach thinking about this, but can we please just band together regardless of all the other differences we might have and say NEVER AGAIN. Never again will someone that is already proven to be capable of doing something like this slip through the system and become free to do it again.  One crime, do the time.  If you are guilty of this you will be kept in a prison like environment for life.  I don’t care if they eat lobster every night, watch cable TV, or you put the facility in Nevada and let them have supervised visits with hookers.  JUST DON’T let them OUT to harm kids again.  Like I said I’d rather we kill them, but if I have to compromise then so be it.  I would rather these guys live the high life in a controlled environment than to see one more parent on TV crying and missing a child.  It breaks my heart and it should break yours as well.

I don’t have the answers to this problem, but we need one and now.  Congress is swift to act about saving banks and bailing out car companies, but a child gets brutally raped and murdered and all we hear is how sorry the Senator is.  We will “try” to do better and it is a shame.   This has nothing to do with democrat, republican, independant, or any label that you choose.

The entire point is these guys feel no remorse and our current system still lets them out.   I don’t want them in my neighborhood.  If you feel that one crime means life is to harsh, then let one of these fuckers stay with you and your family when they get out.  I didn’t think so, you put them in with some poor people in a trailer park somewhere and walk around telling everyone how civilized you are.  Where are you when the 8 year old child is found in a culvert?  If I had my way, you people, would be waiting in the heart line.

Hurt me once shame on you, hurt me twice shame on me.  Call your senator/congressman and tell them that we won’t wait any longer.  They will not act until we make them.  This is our fault as a society and everytime it happens we will have to continue blaming ourselves for allowing it to.  ONE CRIME-DO THE TIME.  That time is life.

    Hey Bucky,

I could not agree with you more. If you start the fire (Maybe you just did), I will help
    fan the flames.
